At some point of our lives we all have spent time with child and loved the genuine love and innocence they exhibit.Today is 14 November - the day we celebrate childhood. Every one must be aware that 14 November is celebrated as Children's day to give tribute the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru who was fondly called Chacha Nehru by children.
Across India, it is celebrated in schools to make children feel special. Parents too wish children and some lucky ones even receives gifts. But do you think that all the children of the nation are fortunate enough to celebrate their day, or rather their childhood?
Certainly Not.
India lead the world as the country with highest numbers of child exploitation cases. In India, a child is sexually abused every 15 minutes, as per a report published in 2017. Childhood sexual abuse infringes with the fundamental rights of human beings. And the Main area of concern is it can take place anywhere - schools, tuitions, extra-curricular classes or even in one’s family. Indeed, it is a mockery on the very existence of a civilized society. The trauma of sexual exploitation in children sometimes impacts the children through life; they become guilty, fearful, lonely and worried.
Another issue which is a major concern in the protection of rights of children is child labour. Again India leads in countries in Asia and has a whopping 33 million children employed in various forms of child labour. It is widely prevalent in the country due to poverty .It is a great social problem because children are the hope and future of a nation. But the society is still ignorant towards this. There are people who still employ children as house-helps and consider it as a favour done him/her as they providing employment to the otherwise unemployed and their misery-striken families but they fail to understand that they are actually playing with the future of the nation.
Along with these tags, India again manages to bag the tittle of being the Home to the highest number of malnourished children in the world. According to the Reports of WHO, the prevalence of underweight children ranged from 42% in Jharkhand, followed by Bihar, MP and UP with 37%, 36% and 34.1% respectively, to 14.1% in Manipur.
The purpose of celebrating Children’s Day is to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. Unfortunately, a large sections of our toddlers and children are facing these issue and are devoid of the fun of being a child. This Children’s day, lets not use sit back and blame the government. As a responsible citizen of the country, lets step out of our home try to make at least child smile.

One small step can change the world ..whatever is written..it's actually wht ppl need to understand.
